What People Are Saying

When I had to find a saxophone teacher for my son, it wasn’t easy. I knew some really great players, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be good teachers. Luckily, I found Music Lessons Academy. In the first lesson, Dan did more for my son’s tone than months of lessons had with our previous teacher. He also has his own method of teaching improvisation and it really is amazing.

Jon Leopold

…..she has a completely unique system for teaching you how to play the saxophone regardless of whatever level you happen to be at from beginner, intermediate to advanced.

Our teachers are experienced in teaching students as young as five. Our enthusiastic teachers ensure every lesson is fun and engaging to keep students interested in pursuing their instrument.
How old should my child be to begin music lessons?

Children as young as five can begin learning their instrument and basic music theory.

We are very experienced in tutoring young children who are complete beginners, and have all the patience and personality needed to engage your child and give them best start in their musical journey.

Is a 45 minute lesson too long for my child?

In our 45 minute lessons, we are able to cover music theory, technical skills alongside the songs we teach. These important aspects of musical education are often skipped over in 30 minute lessons.

To keep our students learning and progressing, we use the Musical Ladder system. Every 3 months our students take a test with their teacher to make sure they are absorbing the material in the lessons and making progress. Why Should You Take Saxophone Lessons?

Luckily, we are existing in a time where we have access to as much knowledge we need that is literally at our fingertips at all times.

This is especially true if you need help to learn how to play the saxophone.

On top of the surprisingly excellent online ways for learning the saxophone available, it may appear like paying for actual lessons to learn playing the saxophone is longer necessary. But it still is.

Nevertheless, you cannot just pick whoever is free, you’ve got to find a professional teacher. So what makes a saxophone teacher a good teacher?

A good saxophone teacher is patient and ensures every music lesson is informative, relaxed, and of course fun. We could all recognise that a friendly way of teaching and a relaxed environment creates productive learning.

The quality of the saxophone teacher and temperament are equally significant to their technical skill in studying music theory or saxophone in general.

Many people love to hear children playing a musical instrument, let alone kids that play music concerts in front of people, it is just enchanting.

All these could be accomplished! Easily and progressively if there are consistent music lessons, preferably with one on one music school teaching. The child would be trained in reading musical notes and be conducted with proper exercise.

Getting a saxophone teacher would feel like any other connection, you know someone is a perfect match for you at the first meeting.

You would know they are a good saxophone teacher if you have connected at the first saxophone lesson. And the best part is, it doesn’t matter how old or young you are. Saxophone lessons are for all ages, they carry years of knowledge at school to their students, no matter if they teach adults or children.

Having a saxophone tutor is surely a wholesome investment of your time and money. Learn to play the saxophone the best way.

Learn the saxophone with a great example. To think whether to take lessons or to just play the saxophone is not something to take easily.

As parents to your child or even yourself as a student, you really want to guarantee that learning music is something that you can make a priority in your agenda.

Also, you would have to be totally disciplined to continue showing up not just in your first lesson.

We know that Music Lessons Academy is a great choice for beginner saxophone students who want to start saxophone lessons, with incredible teachers that want to progress and develop your ability to play the saxophone at an early age to help you investigate your interest in saxophone and develop confidence.

If your child or children wants to learn saxophone, start with us as we have many great methodologies to help our students achieve their musical goals.

Even if your child has already started saxophone lessons and you haven’t done some of these things, no worries!

Music lessons are an ongoing process, and saxophone students will benefit as you apply these ideas at any time during their education.

Visit online at Music Lessons Academy Instagram for posts that show helpful ideas for students to learn and develop.

Saxophone Lessons Available for All Ages

Whether you’re starting saxophone lessons as a beginner or trying to break out of a rut, you need a sax Instructor who is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.

Our saxophone instructors are warm and friendly, and get to know each student and parent on a personal level.

You can learn any style you like: jazz, blues, pop and classical styles.

We can also help you locate and rent or buy a saxophone. Renting usually starts at $35.00 per month and you can rent to buy. Your teacher is experienced in finding quality affordable instruments and can help you with renting or buying before the sax lessons start.

Prepare your child to be ready for concert band, auditions and the jazz ensemble if they are in a band school program.

7 or 8 years old is a good time to start lessons on the saxophone. Starting much earlier most students will have trouble holding the saxophone and getting enough air. It’s better to start them on clarinet, piano or recorder (which is a relative of the saxophone and uses many of the same fingerings).

If you need help, just give us a call and we can discuss any concerns or questions that you have.

After each lesson, the student will go home with a clear homework assignment.
